CYM Sports Club…
Terenure Sports Club was formerly known as CYM Sports Club and was founded in 1904. The club has serviced the community with a range of sports for many years. The move to change the name of the club from CYM Sports Club to Terenure Sports Club supports the ethos of community inclusion through participation in sport. The club is based in a diverse ethnic community and inclusion of each and every community member is a cornerstone of the club.

Terenure Sports Club is unique as a community sports club. We have a sports campus that serves all of our sports. Everyone that plays for any of our teams is a member of the club. We do not have tenants playing here but rather a club where each section contributes to the running and atmosphere of the club. Terenure Sports Club is run by the members for the members.

We make sport available to our members all year round with rugby, soccer and table tennis throughout the winter months, bowls and cricket during the summer, with tennis as well as access to our members gym all year round.

Alongside our main sports Terenure Sports Club have a choir, bridge club, golf society as well as housing darts and pool.

We offer something for all the family all year round.

Organisational Structure:

Terenure Sports Club is an unincorporated sports club. The club is run by an executive committee made up of club members that are voted for at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year. The executive committee comprises four officers, the President, Vice President, Honorary Secretary and Treasurer, as well as four ordinary members that each chairs a committee taking responsibility for four main areas of the club, the bar, membership, house and grounds.
The executive committee is supported by a full time General Manager with over all responsibility for the day to day running of the club, strategic planning, marketing and development.
The members bar and the function room bars are managed by a full time bar manager. While having overall responsibility for day to day running of the bars the bar manager works alongside the General Manager and the Bar Chairman.

Club Constitution & Rules

The club constitution is the supporting document to ensure that the club remains a club that is run both for and by the members. It has recently been amended due to the name change. This gave the opportunity to update some aspects of the constitution and the rules.
