About the section:
Part of the larger CYM Sports Club, the rugby section has a long and proud history
in the area. Many members of the club have gone on to hold senior positions within
the Leinster branch of the IRFU and the club itself is well respected within the
Leinster rugby community. Home to a number of Junior league teams, and now an under
20s development squad, CY is a club that takes its rugby seriously but also encourages
a camaraderie and friendship amongst players. With a “never say die” playing attitude,
CYM has produced some wonderful rugby over its many years and many great results
against seemingly superior opposition.
Teams & play days:
CYM Rugby 1st team play in the Leinster J1 Leauge Division 3 Section B
CYM Rugby 2nd team play in the Leinster J4 Leauge Section C
CYM Under 20’s
Training generally takes place each Mon & Wed but could be changed if a mid week
game is fixed.
The playing season starts in September with pre-season in July/August & finishes
in March.
